Electrostatic Pinning Strip
Avocet Precision Metals have recognised the importance of using high quality electrostatic pinning bands in the BOPET film production process. Traditionally a narrow slit strip has been used as the product of choice however our customers have identified that burrs and inconsistencies on the slit edge of the strip can promote spark discharge and streamers which have a significant detrimental affect on the efficiency of BOPET thin film manufacture.
Avocet Precision Metals have engineered a solution to this problem.
Our unique process eliminates peaks and roughness on the slit edge of the strip, promoting:
Increased Line and Casting speeds. A uniform, consistent profile dramatically reducing streamers and sparks
