Avocet Precision Metals

The flagship of the Avocet Materials Group, the company was established in 1996 by Graham Hall and continues to be owned and operated by major shareholders the Hall family. The family has plenty of heritage in steel, Great Great Grandfather Bill worked the hot mill at John Summers, Great Grandfather Stan launched Zintec for the British Steel Corporation and Grandfather Graham Hall had 20 years experience as a senior manager in stockholding before establishing the group of companies.

Kieren, the fourth generation, is the current CEO and is growing the business still utilising the same mantra as established 25 years ago- right first time. There is iron in the soul of Avocet Steel. Today, Avocet Precision Metals is primarily a sales and distribution business focused on precision semi finished raw materials, made to exact customer specification. The team encompasses skilled engineers, material scientists, quality personnel and of course our signature sales team who work with our clients to understand and meet their needs.

What do we do?

Our customers in the manufacturing industry have seen some difficult times in the last 30 years who now more than ever continue to face severe challenges in their markets with price pressures and instability becoming the new norm. We believe in order to provide stability to our customers, close partnership relationships between suppliers and customers is essential.

That’s where we come in. We have allied ourselves with principals and suppliers whose attitude to service, and whose philosophy and quality are in tune with the realities of manufacturing today. We are experts in our mills’ capabilities and can speak with first hand knowledge of what can be achieved.

Our core business is in precision steel strip, precision wire, precision foils, tube and profiles. Manufactured to specification, designed to perform how our customers want it to perform, delivered in the way that is most efficient and cost effective for them. On time, quality products, direct from the manufacturer, right first time.
We are exclusive UK agents for all our partners and they have one thing in common.
